Eco friendly HPL
To fit a Chicken Guard or Poultry Kit door, omit the top rail of the door and drill holes appropriately.
These are really a very good design, it was easy to put together with the instructions supplied and its a very nice looking coops, just perfect for our chickens. Mary is very happy with it as well. A good investment, I am very pleased.

They are, we use the larger version in a few of our breeding pens - easy and quick to collect eggs and clean out.

Nice design and looks very robust, had problems with red mites in my last hen house and could not get rid of them. So far so good with this one

Perfect
Having been a chicken keeper for many years and had nearly every type of coop (the famous expensive plastic ones, pretty wooden ones) This is by far the best coop we ve had. It s so easy to clean. This is the first Coop we ve had where the girls property roost rather than sleep in the nest box; the nest box therefore remains clean. The automatic door opener is easy to programme and fit. I was concerned about it s looks but it actually sits nicely in the garden. The only consideration with this model is taking the roof off for egg collection. I m not sure my elderly mother will be able to lift it off or have long enough arms to reach in. So bare this in mind if you have small children (could also be a plus) with this model. Looking at the design and construction I m hoping this will be more effective at not providing hiding places for the dreaded red mite but can t comment currently. Chartley Coops were brilliant. I thoroughly recommend them and this coop.

Good Value
My old wooden coop was end of life and had had red mites too often. Drove too Chartley Chucks to collect this coop to avoid delivery charges. Geoff was very knowledgeable and talked me through all the coops, pros and cons. Bought the colonial and am very pleased with it, chickens love it and its so easy to look after and clean. Fully recommended.
