Calido Fire Log Briquettes are a high quality UK produced wood briquette. Made from UK sourced sawmill residue these are an excellent choice for those with sustainability in mind.
They are suitable for a wider range of stoves without the need to break them. They will expand when burning but this expansion is a lot less than others heat logs or briquettes we’ve tried. This is due to the raw material used in the production process and also down to how compacted the briquettes are.
They achieve around 1.5 to 2 hours burn time when using on an established fire. They can stay glowing for around another hour after this giving a total glow time of around 3 hours. As always the burn time and glow time can vary on the stove they are used in and how the stove is being used. This burn time is and average achieved over a number of weeks trialling them on various stoves.
Due to how dense the briquettes are we find they are best added to an existing fire, if using on their own then a good amount of kindling will be required to get the briquette to ignite.
