Welcome to Chartley Chucks We are a small family business developed through a love of breeding chickens. We are DEFRA registered and specialise in breeding small numbers of pure bred birds suitable for other breeders, gardens and for schools. We offer a range of breeds that offer, ease of handling, excellent egg laying performance and breeds that are contented if confined or require free ranging areas. Some of our breeds are ideal starter birds, others are aimed at the more specialist poultry keeper.  We can advise you on which breeds and coops will suit your circumstances. We specialise in the supply of Chicks from 1 day old, but also supply hatching eggs, hens and cockerels.  Many families opt to rear their birds from chicks, with regular handling from the children, this makes the birds even more friendly when mature.  See our videos of chicks being reared at various ages on our buyers page. Chicks are normally available between March and September, with new batches of chicks every week - please see our stock list page and contact us for our current availability and advice. If you are a beginner, see our beginners page and then contact us, we are more than happy to give you any advice you wish. We offer Chicken boarding, so if you are planning a holiday we can look after your chickens while you are away, or alternatively if you live within a reasonable distance from us we can offer chicken sitting.  Contact us with details of your holiday dates etc and we’ll be able to advise our rates.
